Culinary Capital of France

Lyon is a historical city with a vibrant cultural scene as the birthplace of cinema, the silk capital of the globe, and the second biggest Renaissance city following Venice.
Take a break from the city and head to Lake Annecy and La Roche de Solutre. Get out of town with these interesting Lyon side-trips: Roc de Chere (in Talloires), Ile des Cygnes (in Annecy) and Les Gorges du Fier (in Lovagny). There's lots more to do: walk around Parc de la Tete d'Or, take in the dramatic scenery at La cluse du Flumen et ses cascades, trek along Owl's Trail, and take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Mont Saint-Romain.
