Lyon is a historical city with a vibrant cultural scene as the birthplace of cinema, the silk capital of the globe, and the second biggest Renaissance city following Venice.
Step off the beaten path and head to La Vieille Ville and Musee Miniature et Cinema. Do some cultural sightseeing at Théâtre gallo-romain and Cathedrale Notre-Dame. Venture out of the city with trips to Annecy (Eglise St. Maurice & Eglise Sainte Bernadette), Canyoning & Rappelling Tours (in Grenoble) and Le Puy-en-Velay (Statue de Notre Dame de France & Cloitre de la Cathedrale du Puy-en-Velay).
