Vieille Ville and La Croisette are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Get some historical perspective at Saint-Paul de Vence and Cathedrale Saint-Nicolas a Nice. Explore Cannes' surroundings by going to Chapelle des Pénitents Blancs (in St-Paul-de-Vence), Musée Marc Chagall (in Nice) and Villa & Jardins Ephrussi de Rothschild (in St-Jean-Cap-Ferrat). There's lots more to do: get a taste of the local shopping with Rue d'Antibes, discover the deep blue sea with Easy Dive, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Eglise St Pierre & Paul, and step off the mainland to explore Lérins Islands.

Keep things going the next day: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Carcassonne Cathedral, explore the historical opulence of Chateau Comtal, then pause for some serene contemplation at Eglise Saint-Nazaire, and finally steep yourself in history at Cathar Castles.
