Well-known for the beautiful views of its famous Promenade des Anglais waterfront, Nice is an ethnically-diverse coastal port city on the French Riviera and the fifth most populated city in France.
Vieille Ville and Rue d'Antibes will appeal to history buffs. Get some cultural insight at La Croisette and Villa & Jardins Ephrussi de Rothschild. Step out of the city life by going to TakSea and Calanque de Maubois. You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Plage de Guerrevieille and Frejus Beach. Get out of town with these interesting Saint-Raphael side-trips: La Pointe de l'Aiguille (in Theoule sur Mer) and Tanneron (Forcerie Vial & Lac de Saint-Cassien). Get outdoors at Plage de Sylvabelle and Plage de Jean Blanc. We've included these beaches for you: Plage La Capte and Plage d'Aiguebelle. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Hyeres: Bormes-Les-Mimosas (Plage de la Faviere & Plage de Cabasson), Le Lavandou (Plage de Cavaliere & Jet 007) and Heraclee Beach (in La Croix-Valmer). There's lots more to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Plage de Pampelonne, identify plant and animal life at Sentier Jean Francois Jube, and stroll through Plage de l'Estagnol.
