Situated where the Swiss, German, and French borders meet, Basel is considered the hub of Dreilandereck, this "three countries corner." Its location makes Basel a center of culture and history, brimming with important theaters and museums.
Get outdoors at Parasailing & Paragliding and Aare River. Venture out of the city with trips to Buchhandlung Boedeli (in Interlaken), St. Beatus Hoehlen (in Sundlauenen) and Panorama Rundweg Thunersee (in Sigriswil). There's lots more to do: meet the residents at Zoo Basel, wander the streets of Basel's Old Town, identify plant and animal life at Barenpark, and don't miss a visit to Town Hall.

Get in touch with nature at Lake Zurich and Lake Lucerne. Get out of town with these interesting Zurich side-trips: Wallfahrtskapelle Hergiswald (in Obernau), Lucerne (Pont Spreuer, Altstadt Luzern, &more) and Mt Pilatus (in Kriens). Next up on the itinerary: take a stroll through Old Town, get engrossed in the history at Landesmuseum, take in the dramatic scenery at Rhine Falls, and take in the awesome beauty at Uetliberg Mountain.
