Phuket Town, Phuket — 3 nights

The economic hub of the eponymous island, Phuket Town attracted merchants from China, India, and Portugal long before it became a tourist destination.
Attractions like Flying Hanuman and Promthep Cape make great kid-friendly stops. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Spas and Karon Viewpoint. When in Phuket Town, make a side trip to see Nai Harn Beach in Nai Harn, approximately Nai Harn away. There's much more to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at The Gibbon Rehabilitation Project (GRP), paddle through the water with a kayaking and canoeing tour, have fun at Football Crazy Golf, and take some stellar pictures from Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong).

On the 30th (Sun), head outdoors with Ko Mae Ko, take in the dramatic natural features at Mu Ko Ang Thong National Marine Park, and then step off the mainland to explore Ko Wua Talap Island.
