The capital and political center of Switzerland, Bern sits on a peninsula formed by the U-shaped River Aare.
Get some cultural insight at UNESCO-Altstadt von Bern and Museum of Communication. Museum-lovers will appreciate Bernisches Historisches Museum - Einstein Museum and Zentrum Paul Klee (Paul Klee Center). Venture out of the city with trips to Lauterbrunnen (Trümmelbachfälle & Lauterbrunnen Village), Jeunes Rives (in Neuchatel) and Interlaken (Parasailing & Paragliding & Harderkulm).
