Capital of Peace
Geneva brings the world to one small city with a huge expat population and the highest number of international organizations in any one city.Venture out of the city with trips to Cathedrale de Lausanne (in Lausanne) and Chateau de Chillon (in Veytaux). There's much more to do: explore the activities along Lake Geneva, examine the collection at International Red Cross and Red Crescent Museum, get great views at Cathedrale de Saint-Pierre, and get a sense of history and politics at Palais des Nations, Genève.

Best known as home the Matterhorn mountain, Zermatt serves as a chic ski resort town of the Swiss Alps.Change things up with a short trip to Ski Zenit in Saas-Fee (about 1h 30 min away). There's much more to do: take in panoramic vistas at Gornergrat, browse the exhibits of Matterhorn Museum - Zermatlantis, fly down the slopes at Trockener Steg, and take in the awesome beauty at The Matterhorn.

The capital and political center of Switzerland, Bern sits on a peninsula formed by the U-shaped River Aare.Kick off your visit on the 19th (Wed): explore the world behind art at Kunstmuseum Bern, shop like a local with UNESCO-Altstadt von Bern, then get great views at The Cathedral of Bern, and finally take in panoramic vistas at Clock Tower - Zytglogge.
