Emerald City

Nicknamed the "Emerald City" because of its abundant evergreen trees, Seattle is the cultural and business center of the Pacific Northwest, as well as a popular holiday destination.
Bring the kids along to Whatcom Falls Park and Discovery Park. Visiting Snoqualmie Falls and Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge will get you outdoors. Get out of town with these interesting Seattle side-trips: Marymoor Park (in Redmond), Bellingham (Marine Life Center & Mindport Exhibits) and Olympia (LBA Park, Hands On Children's Museum, &more). There's still lots to do: take in nature's colorful creations at Washington Park Arboretum, take a leisurely stroll along Hiram M. Known as "Hollywood North," Vancouver boasts one of the largest film/television industries in the world, second only to Los Angeles and New York.
