Surrounded by mountain ranges, forests, valleys, beaches, and deserts, the metropolitan area of Los Angeles is home to over 17 million people.
Annenberg Community Beach House and Santa Monica Pier will appeal to history buffs. Head to Two Rodeo Drive and Rodeo Drivefor some retail therapy. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Los Angeles: Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation (in Beverly Hills), Santa Monica Farmers Market (in Santa Monica) and Carbon Beach (in Malibu). The adventure continues: examine the collection at The Getty Center, shop like a local with Montana Avenue, stop by Edelweiss Chocolate Factory, and look and learn at Griffith Observatory.
