Surrounded by mountain ranges, forests, valleys, beaches, and deserts, the metropolitan area of Los Angeles is home to over 17 million people.
The Getty Center and Griffith Observatory will appeal to museum buffs. Visit Santa Monica State Beach and Santa Monica Bay for some beach relaxation. Get out of town with these interesting Los Angeles side-trips: Oxnard Beach Park (in Oxnard), Santa Monica (Bergamot Station, Third Street Promenade, &more) and Calboat Diving - Spectre Dive Boat (in Ventura).
