The largest municipality in Missouri, Kansas City has an impressive array of world-class museums, shopping areas, and great places to eat, all of which attract tourism to the area.
Take a break from the city and head to The St. Joseph Parkway and Remington Nature Center. Step off the beaten path and head to The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and Science City. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Kansas City: Topeka (Kansas State Capitol Building, Evel Knievel Museum, &more), Prairie Fire Museum (in Leawood) and Saint Joseph (Pony Express Museum & Patee House Museum).
