You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like Harderkulm and Parasailing & Paragliding. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Lauterbrunnen Valley Waterfalls and Heimwehfluh. Explore Interlaken's surroundings by going to Uferpromenade Weggis (in Weggis), Grosse Scheidegg (in Grindelwald) and Lucerne (Matthauskirche, Lake Lucerne, &more). There's much more to do: take in the dramatic scenery at Staubbach Waterfall, identify plant and animal life at Mt Pilatus, examine the collection at Glasi Hergiswil, and take some stellar pictures from The Cathedral of Bern.

Washington, USA to Interlaken is an approximately 18.5-hour combination of flight and car. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 6 hours traveling from Washington to Interlaken. Plan for a bit cooler temperatures traveling from Washington in May, with highs in Interlaken at 63°F and lows at 45°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 15th (Sat) early enough to catch the train to Zermatt.

Best known as home the Matterhorn mountain, Zermatt serves as a chic ski resort town of the Swiss Alps.
Kids will enjoy Gornergrat and Matterhorn Museum - Zermatlantis. Get a sense of the local culture at Mountaineers' Cemetery and Intercontinental Church Society. There's lots more to do: take in panoramic vistas at Sunnegga, admire the natural beauty at Ricola herb garden, take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Breithorn, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Kapelle Riffelberg "Bruder Klaus".
