On India's western coastline, the former Portuguese colony of Goa tells a visibly different story than the rest of India.
Step off the beaten path and head to Utorda Beach and Betalbatim Beach. Next up on the itinerary: kick back and relax at Bogmalo Beach, stroll through Sinquerim Beach, stop by Old Goa, and admire the striking features of Basilica of Bom Jesus.

Leh

The former capital of the Kingdom of Ladakh, Leh possesses a historic old town area marked by stupas, monasteries, and traditional mud-brick houses.
Explore hidden gems such as Shanti Stupa and Likir Gompa. Change things up with a short trip to Alchi Monastery in Alchi (about 1h 30 min away). There's much more to do: cruise along Khardung La, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Spituk Monastery, head outdoors with Outdoor Activities, and examine the collection at Hall of Fame.

You can drive from Leh to Manali in 9 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 18th (Tue) to allow time to fly to Gangtok.

Gangtok

Situated in the eastern Himalayan range, state capital Gangtok combines a modern, resort town style with ancient spiritual beliefs and an impressive natural heritage.
Kick off your visit on the 19th (Wed): don't miss a visit to Baba Harbhajan Singh Temple. Keep things going the next day: make a trip to Hanuman Tok, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Enchey Monastery, and then visit MG Marg.
