The popular hill station of Nainital was named after the pear-shaped lake around which the resort town has evolved.
Take a break from the city and head to Bhimtal Lake and Nainital Lake. Attractions like Naukuchiatal Lake and Neeb Karori Kainchi Dham make great kid-friendly stops. Step out of Nainital with an excursion to Sattal in Sattal--about 50 minutes away. Next up on the itinerary: take in the awesome beauty at Naina Peak, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Mukteshvar Temple, meet the residents at Nainital Zoo, and admire the sheer force of Woodland Water Fall.
