The former capital of the Kingdom of Ladakh, Leh possesses a historic old town area marked by stupas, monasteries, and traditional mud-brick houses.
Get a sense of the local culture at Thiksey Monastery and Spituk Monastery. There's still lots to do: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Phyang Monastery, appreciate the history behind Shey Monastery, contemplate the long history of Gurudwara Shri Datun Sahib Ji, and examine the collection at Hall of Fame.

In July, daily temperatures in Agra can reach 94°F, while at night they dip to 80°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 8th (Wed) so you can fly to Jaipur.

Pink City

Known as the "Pink City" because of the color of the stone used for many of its notable structures, Jaipur draws visitors with its chaotic street life and a slew of colorful bazaars selling everything from handmade pottery to tie-dye scarves.
Kick off your visit on the 9th (Thu): explore the historical opulence of Amber Palace and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Ele Experience Farm. Here are some ideas for day two: don't miss a visit to Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind, see the sky in a new way at Jantar Mantar - Jaipur, then take an in-depth tour of City Palace of Jaipur, and finally view the masterpieces at Jewels Lake Palace , Jaipur.

One of the oldest and largest cities in the center of the state, Thrissur hosts a wealth of festivals throughout the year.
On the 11th (Sat), take in the spiritual surroundings of Mammiyur Mahadeva Kshetram, take in the spiritual surroundings of Punnathur Kotta (Anakkotta), and then stroll through Elephant Camp Sanctuary. On the 12th (Sun), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: take in the spiritual surroundings of Triprayar Sri Rama Temple, then kick back and relax at Snehatheeram Beach, and then take in the spiritual surroundings of Paramekavu Bhagavathy Temple.

You can do a combination of flight and train from Jaipur to Thrissur in 6.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a train. When traveling from Jaipur in July, plan for little chillier days and about the same nights in Thrissur: temperatures range from 85°F by day to 75°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 13th (Mon) early enough to take a bus to Thekkady.
