The former capital of the Kingdom of Ladakh, Leh possesses a historic old town area marked by stupas, monasteries, and traditional mud-brick houses.

Pink City

Known as the "Pink City" because of the color of the stone used for many of its notable structures, Jaipur draws visitors with its chaotic street life and a slew of colorful bazaars selling everything from handmade pottery to tie-dye scarves.
On the 8th (Wed), admire the landmark architecture of Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind, then step into the grandiose world of Amber Palace, and then take in the exciting artwork at Jewels Lake Palace , Jaipur. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: make a trip to City Palace of Jaipur, then see the sky in a new way at Jantar Mantar - Jaipur, and then stroll through Ele Experience Farm.

Getting from Agra to Jaipur by flight takes about 2.5 hours. Other options: drive; or take a train. In July in Jaipur, expect temperatures between 94°F during the day and 78°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 9th (Thu) early enough to travel to Thrissur.

One of the oldest and largest cities in the center of the state, Thrissur hosts a wealth of festivals throughout the year.
On the 10th (Fri), stroll through Elephant Camp Sanctuary, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Punnathur Kotta (Anakkotta), and then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Mammiyur Mahadeva Kshetram. Cap off your sightseeing on the 12th (Sun) early enough to catch the bus to Thekkady.

Centered on an artificial lake, Thekkady provides a sanctuary to a diverse set of animals and plant species.
