The Port of the Moon

With a long history of producing regional wines since the Romans brought grapevines here during the first century, so many people consider Bordeaux to be the wine capital of the world.
Get a sense of the local culture at Place de la Bourse and Association Hermione-La Fayette. Venture out of the city with trips to Chateau Cantenac (in Saint-Emilion), French Wine Adventures (in Saussignac) and Musee National de la Marine (in Rochefort). The adventure continues: browse the exhibits of La Cite du Vin, don't miss a visit to The Water Mirror, stop by Port of the Moon, and take in the spiritual surroundings of St. Andre Cathedral.
