The medieval town of Bruges centers around a canal, and the architecture of its historical district has made it a World Heritage Site.
Appreciate the collections at Gravensteen and Cathedrale Saint Sauveur de Bruges. Historic Centre of Brugge and Choco-Story - The Chocolate Museum are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Venture out of the city with trips to The Dunes of Bredene (in Bredene) and Ghent (St. Veerleplein, Bourgoyen-Ossemeersen Nature Reserve, &more). There's still lots to do: indulge your thirst for a good beer at Huisbrouwerij De Halve Maan, appreciate the extensive heritage of The Princely Beguinage Ten Wijngaarde, see the interesting displays at Friet Museum, and take in panoramic vistas at Belfry of Bruges.

Maasmechelen is a municipality located on the Meuse river in the Belgian province of Limburg.It comprises the former municipalities of Mechelen-aan-de-Maas, Vucht, Leut, Meeswijk, Uikhoven, Eisden, Opgrimbie, Boorsem, and Kotem.As a result of both Maasmechelen’s location near the border and its coalmining history quite a few of its current inhabitants are from Dutch, German, Eastern European (e.g., Polish) or Mediterranean (mainly Italian) origin.HistoryPrehistoric and Roman timesThe plateau of Campine was built up during the ice age with deposits of sand and other material that the Meuse river had eroded in the upstream Ardennes region. On the 6th (Wed), look for all kinds of wild species at De Teut and then explore the striking landscape of Mechelse Heide.
