Located just across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C., the county of Arlington blends big city and sprawling suburban environments.

Washington DC to Arlington is an approximately half hour car ride. You can also drive; or take a subway. In December, daily temperatures in Arlington can reach 51°F, while at night they dip to 37°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 22nd (Tue) so you can drive to Alexandria.

Just a few metro stops away from the bustle of Washington D.C., Alexandria provides a respite from the fast-paced capital.
