Mendrisio is a municipality in the district of Mendrisio in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland.Mendrisio is the seat of the Accademia di Architettura of the university of Italian-speaking Switzerland (USI).The municipality was boosted in size on 4 April 2004 when it incorporated the former municipality of Salorino. Best known as home the Matterhorn mountain, Zermatt serves as a chic ski resort town of the Swiss Alps.On the 26th (Sun), take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at The Matterhorn, explore the striking landscape at Gorner Gorge, then explore the different monuments and memorials at Mountaineers' Cemetery, then pause for some serene contemplation at Parish Church of St. Mauritius, and finally see the interesting displays at Matterhorn Museum - Zermatlantis. On your second day here, tee off at Golf Club Matterhorn, then take in panoramic vistas at Gornergrat, and then stop by Metzgerei Bayard.

You can do a combination of car and ferry from Mendrisio to Zermatt in 4.5 hours. Other options are to take a train; or do a combination of bus and car. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 27th (Mon) so you can catch the train to Interlaken.

The financial hub of Switzerland, Zurich is most often associated with money and banks.Get some cultural insight at Old Town and Museum of Art (Kunsthaus Zurich).
