One of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, Madurai sits on the banks of the River Vaigai and serves as a center of Tamil culture.
Step off the beaten path and head to Tirupparankunram and Pazhamudhir Solai. Kids will enjoy Koodal Azhagar Temple and Kalamegaperumal Temple. Known throughout the country as a major industrial city, Coimbatore possesses a welcoming atmosphere and a growing cosmopolitanism.
Get outdoors at Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park and Meenvallam Waterfalls. Kids will enjoy Marudamalai Temple and Siruvani Falls and Dam.
