The capital and largest city of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Port Blair acts as a gateway to the landmasses that lie in the Bay of Bengal.
On the 7th (Fri), examine the collection at Anthropological Museum, then examine the collection at Samudrika Marine Museum, and then head off the coast to Jolly Buoy Island. On the 8th (Sat), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: tour the pleasant surroundings at Corbyn's Cove, then contemplate the long history of Cellular Jail, and then step off the mainland to explore Ross Island.

Situated in a basin between two mountain ranges, Taipei appeals to tourists with its blend of Asian cultures, living side by side amidst Japanese-era mansions and Taoist temples.
Step out of Taipei with an excursion to Chiufen (Jiufen Old Street) in Ruifang--about 46 minutes away. Next up on the itinerary: get engrossed in the history at National Palace Museum, learn about wildlife with up-close encounters at Taipei Zoo, get a sense of history and politics at Presidential Office Building, and contemplate the long history of Taipei Confucius Temple.

Known its good weather, Taichung boasts an interesting set of cultural attractions, including many temples showing the development of religious architectural styles in the area and forming focal points for most tours of Taichung.
Get out of town with these interesting Taichung side-trips: Ali Mountain (Alishan) (in Xinyi Township), Yuchi (Wenwu Temple, Sun Moon Lake, &more) and Hehuan Mountain (Hehuanshan) (in Ren'ai Township). There's much more to do: engage your brain at National Museum of Natural Science, steep yourself in history at ConfuciusTemple Martyr's Shrine, and stroll around Taichung Park.

You can take a train from Taipei to Taichung in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a train; or take a bus. In April, plan for daily highs up to 30°C, and evening lows to 21°C. You'll have a few hours on the 17th (Mon) to wrap things up before traveling home.
