Kalpetta — 3 nights

One of the district's main tourist hubs, Kalpetta offers easy access to a number of man-made and natural attractions.
When in Kalpetta, make a side trip to see Banasurasagar Dam in Vythiri, approximately Vythiri away. And it doesn't end there: take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Chembra, admire the sheer force of Meenmutty Falls, contemplate the waterfront views at Pookot Lake, and take in panoramic vistas at Lakkidi View Point.

Bengaluru to Kalpetta is an approximately 2.5-hour flight. You can also fly; or take a bus; or drive. Traveling from Bengaluru in October, Kalpetta is somewhat warmer at night with lows of 28°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 4th (Mon) so you can take a bus to Kozhikode.

Famous as the landing place of Vasco da Gama, the large industrial city of Kozhikode today acts as staging post for adventures around the state, while also boasting some particularly popular beaches.
Take a break from Kozhikode with a short trip to Nilambur Teak Museum in Malappuram, about 36 minutes away. There's much more to do: kick back and relax at Kozhikode Beach, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Tali Temple, revel in the low prices at HiLite Mall, and relax and rejuvenate at some of the best spas.
