Kalpetta — 3 nights

One of the district's main tourist hubs, Kalpetta offers easy access to a number of man-made and natural attractions.
When in Kalpetta, make a side trip to see Banasurasagar Dam in Vythiri, approximately Vythiri away. Next up on the itinerary: take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Chembra, enjoy breathtaking views from Lakkidi View Point, contemplate the waterfront views at Pookot Lake, and take in the dramatic scenery at Soochippara Falls (Sentinel Rock Waterfall).

Bengaluru to Kalpetta is an approximately 2.5-hour flight. You can also fly; or drive; or take a bus. Famous as the landing place of Vasco da Gama, the large industrial city of Kozhikode today acts as staging post for adventures around the state, while also boasting some particularly popular beaches.
When in Kozhikode, make a side trip to see Nilambur Teak Museum in Malappuram, approximately Malappuram away. There's lots more to do: kick back and relax at Kozhikode Beach, browse the different shops at HiLITE Mall, take in the spiritual surroundings of Tali Temple, and relax and rejuvenate at some of the best spas.
