Mumbai — 5 nights

Gateway to India

Only one word accurately describes India's commercial capital Mumbai: big.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus and Mani Bhavan Gandhi Museum. Attractions like Food Tours and Shree Siddhivinayak make great kid-friendly stops. Go for a jaunt from Mumbai to Panvel to see Karnala Fort about 1h 30 min away. There's still lots to do: appreciate the history behind Gateway of India, stop by Colaba, kick back and relax at Chowpatty Beach, and snap pictures at Bandra-Worli Sea Link.

To see traveler tips, where to stay, photos, and tourist information, you can read our Mumbai road trip planner.
