Rotterdam — 9 nights

Manhattan on the Maas

Located in the South Holland province, Rotterdam is one of the Netherlands' most lively cities, as well as one of the largest trading ports in the world.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen and The Mauritshuis Royal Picture Gallery. Venture out of the city with trips to The Hague (Celestial Vault, Museon, &more), Scheveningen (museum Beelden aan Zee, De Pier Scheveningen, &more) and Museum Volkenkunde (in Leiden). There's still lots to do: take in panoramic vistas at Euromast, get engrossed in the history at Panorama Mesdag, get to know the resident critters at Rotterdam Zoo, and don't miss a visit to Rotterdam Centraal Station.

For photos, maps, reviews, and more tourist information, refer to the Rotterdam trip builder tool.

Washington, USA to Rotterdam is an approximately 14-hour combination of flight and car. You'll lose 6 hours traveling from Washington to Rotterdam due to the time zone difference. Traveling from Washington in January, Rotterdam is a bit warmer at night with lows of 34°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 29th (Fri) to allow enough time to travel back home.
