Emerald City

Nicknamed the "Emerald City" because of its abundant evergreen trees, Seattle is the cultural and business center of the Pacific Northwest, as well as a popular holiday destination.
Get in touch with nature at Snoqualmie Falls and Whatcom Falls Park. Discover out-of-the-way places like Murhut Falls and Washington Park Arboretum. Change things up with these side-trips from Seattle: Olympic National Park (Bunch Creek Falls & Kalaloch Beach Trail 4), Little Si Trail (in North Bend) and Bellingham (Zuanich Point Park & Stimpson Family Nature Preserve). Get outdoors at Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve and Point Loma. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to La Jolla Shores Park and Coronado Beach.
