Eternal City

Aptly nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome is the birthplace of the Roman Empire, one of the world's greatest civilizations ever.
You've now added Pantheon to your itinerary. Escape the urban bustle at Grotte di Falvaterra and Catacombs of Saint Callixtus. Get out of town with these interesting Rome side-trips: Centro Outdoor Avventura (in Cervara di Roma), Tivoli (Villa Adriana & Villa d'Este) and Sentiero del Maneggio (in Campaegli). And it doesn't end there: contemplate the long history of St. Peter's Basilica, explore the world behind art at Vatican Museums, admire the local landmark of Trevi Fountain, and stroll through Grotte Dell'Arco.
