Pune has long enjoyed a reputation as a center of culture and commerce, with many dynastic rulers making the town central to their regional plans in the centuries before the British Raj.
Kick off your visit on the 6th (Mon): contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Dagadusheth Halwai Ganapati Temple and then examine the collection at Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum. On the next day, hunt for treasures at Phule Market and then admire the striking features of Mahadaji Shinde Chatri.

Getting from Mumbai to Pune by car takes about 3 hours. Other options: take a train; or do a combination of bus and train. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 7th (Tue) so you can catch the flight to Jaipur.

Pink City

Known as the "Pink City" because of the color of the stone used for many of its notable structures, Jaipur draws visitors with its chaotic street life and a slew of colorful bazaars selling everything from handmade pottery to tie-dye scarves.
Spend the 10th (Fri) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. And it doesn't end there: contemplate the long history of Amber Palace, look for gifts at Gems Paradise, get engrossed in the history at City Palace of Jaipur, and don't miss a visit to Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind.

Traveling by flight from Pune to Jaipur takes 3 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a train. In June in Jaipur, expect temperatures between 47°C during the day and 32°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 11th (Sat) to allow time to fly back home.
