Gateway to India

Only one word accurately describes India's commercial capital Mumbai: big.
Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus and Mount Mary Basilica. There's still lots to do: appreciate the history behind Gateway of India, don't miss a visit to Dhobi Ghat, take in the spiritual surroundings of Shree Siddhivinayak, and snap pictures at Bandra-Worli Sea Link.

For reviews, other places to visit, maps, and other tourist information, go to the Mumbai attractions planner.

Pink City

Known as the "Pink City" because of the color of the stone used for many of its notable structures, Jaipur draws visitors with its chaotic street life and a slew of colorful bazaars selling everything from handmade pottery to tie-dye scarves.
Amber Palace and City Palace of Jaipur are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Spend the 29th (Thu) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. The adventure continues: see the sky in a new way at Jantar Mantar - Jaipur, admire the striking features of Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind, admire the masterpieces at Gallery Artchill, and take in the local highlights with Walking tours.
