Surrounded by mountain ranges, forests, valleys, beaches, and deserts, the metropolitan area of Los Angeles is home to over 17 million people.
Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Annenberg Community Beach House and Two Rodeo Drive. Appreciate the collections at USS Midway Museum and Bhagavad-gita Diorama-Museum. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Los Angeles: Beverly Hills (Barney's New York & Rodeo Drive), Children's Pool (in La Jolla) and Third Street Promenade (in Santa Monica). There's still lots to do: see the interesting displays at The Getty Center, take a stroll through Montana Avenue, make a trip to Santa Monica Pier, and get a new perspective on nature at Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County.

San Francisco is a top holiday destination featuring scenic beauty and great ethnic and cultural diversity.
Alcatraz Island and Golden Gate Bridge will appeal to history buffs. Head to Ferry Building Marketplace and Union Squarefor plenty of shopping. Go for a jaunt from San Francisco to Point Reyes Station to see Point Reyes Safaris about 58 minutes away. The adventure continues: take in the waterfront at Fisherman's Wharf, contemplate the long history of City Lights Booksellers, visit Chinatown, and examine the collection at Musee Mecanique.
