Jaipur — 3 nights

Pink City

Known as the "Pink City" because of the color of the stone used for many of its notable structures, Jaipur draws visitors with its chaotic street life and a slew of colorful bazaars selling everything from handmade pottery to tie-dye scarves.
You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like Amber Palace and City Palace of Jaipur. Get a sense of the local culture at Jantar Mantar - Jaipur and K.L. Jewellers. Spend the 31st (Thu) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. There's more to do: admire the striking features of Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind and get the lay of the land with Walking tours.

Mahabalipuram — 5 nights

Once an important sea port city in the ancient Pallava kingdom, Mahabalipuram today draws in visitors with UNESCO-listed monuments and temples carved out of rock during the 7th and 8th centuries CE. The structures showcase the decoration and form of early Dravidian architecture, and their distinctive designs, striking coloration, and scale still create an evocative atmosphere when studied closely and when seen as a whole.
Kids will enjoy Shore Temple and DakshinaChitra Museum. Do some cultural sightseeing at Monuments at Mahabalipuram and Mahabalipuram Lighthouse. Explore Mahabalipuram's surroundings by going to Covelong Beach (in Covelong) and Sri Prasanna Venkatesa Perumaal (in Kanchipuram). And it doesn't end there: meet the residents at The Madras Crocodile Bank Trust and Centre for Herpetology, stop by Stone Sculptures of Mahabalipuram, Head underground at Mahishasuramardini Cave, and admire the landmark architecture of Pancha Rathas.

Plan my trip to Mahabalipuram with suggested itineraries provided by Inspirock.
