The former capital of the Kingdom of Ladakh, Leh possesses a historic old town area marked by stupas, monasteries, and traditional mud-brick houses.
Explore hidden gems such as Suru Valley and Hemis Monastery. Take a break from Leh with a short trip to Alchi Monastery in Alchi, about 1h 30 min away. There's lots more to do: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Thiksey Monastery, admire the verdant scenery at Nubra Valley, pause for some photo ops at Shey Monastery, and let the river carry you with a rafting and tubing tour.
