The former capital of the Kingdom of Ladakh, Leh possesses a historic old town area marked by stupas, monasteries, and traditional mud-brick houses.
Start off your visit on the 26th (Mon): take in the spiritual surroundings of Shanti Stupa and then relax and float downstream with a rafting and tubing tour. On your second day here, examine the collection at Hall of Fame, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Gurudwara Shri Pathar Sahib, and then take in the spiritual surroundings of Spituk Monastery.

Known as the "Pink City" because of the color of the stone used for many of its notable structures, Jaipur draws visitors with its chaotic street life and a slew of colorful bazaars selling everything from handmade pottery to tie-dye scarves.
Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Jantar Mantar - Jaipur and City Palace of Jaipur. Family-friendly places like Amber Palace and Jal Mahal will thrill your kids. You can fly from Leh to Jaipur in 5.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of bus, taxi, and train. In April, plan for daily highs up to 100°F, and evening lows to 74°F. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 1st (Sat) to allow enough time to travel back home.
