Bethesda — 3 nights

Bethesda is a census-designated place in southern Montgomery County, Maryland, United States, located just northwest of the U.S. capital of Washington, D.C. It takes its name from a local church, the Bethesda Meeting House (1820, rebuilt 1849), which in turn took its name from Jerusalem's Pool of Bethesda. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Devils Den and B&A Trail. Visiting Sky Meadows State Park and Caledonia State Park will get you outdoors. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Bethesda: Eastern Neck National Wildlife Refuge (in Rock Hall), Gettysburg (12th & 44th New York Infantry Monument, Horseback Riding Tours, &more) and Annapolis (Family Fishing Adventures & Quiet Waters Park). There's lots more to do: stroll around Cabin John Regional Park, learn about winemaking at Vintage Ridge Vineyard, indulge in some personalized pampering at Bethesda Salt Cave, and identify plant and animal life at Scott's Run Nature Preserve.
