The allure of the multi-cultural capital, Brussels, stems from its mix of political intrigue, artistic influence, historical significance, and a thriving social scene.
Shop till you drop at Les Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert and BOZAR Centre for Fine Arts. Your inner history buff will appreciate Grand Place and Serres Royales De Laeken. Get out of town with these interesting Brussels side-trips: Memorial Waterloo 1815 (in Braine-l'Alleud) and Hallerbos (in Halle). There's lots more to do: see the interesting displays at Atomium, explore the world behind art at Magritte Museum, pause for some photo ops at Manneken Pis, and steep yourself in history at St. Michael and St. Gudula Cathedral (Cathedrale St-Michel et Ste-Gudule).
