Take a trip to Abu Dhabi to discover a modern metropolis built on a strip of land jutting out into the Persian Gulf.
Start off your visit on the 1st (Sun): take in the views from Sheikh Zayed Bridge, then play a few rounds at Yas Links Abu Dhabi, and then tee off at Saadiyat Beach Golf Club. On the 2nd (Mon), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: get some thrills on the water with a speed boat tour, then tour the pleasant surroundings at Corniche Beach, and then head outdoors with Nation Riviera Beach Club.

Chennai, India to Abu Dhabi is an approximately 7-hour flight. You can also drive. The time zone difference moving from India Standard Time (IST) to Gulf Standard Time (GST) is minus 1.5 hours. Plan for a bit cooler temperatures traveling from Chennai in January, with highs in Abu Dhabi at 28°C and lows at 18°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 3rd (Tue) early enough to go by car to Dubai.

Step out of the city life by going to Al Mamzar Beach Park and Swim with Dolphins. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Turkish Baths and La Mer. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Dubai: Sharjah (Al Noor Mosque, Al Majaz Waterfront, &more).
