Museum Sophiahof, The Hague

A very important museum, telling the story of the colonial era through the eyes of those who came to The Netherlands because of it. Like my dad did. I always thought this part of our history, of my history, was not told fairly enough in history lessons in school. The personal stories of families who moved from The East to The Netherlands, often not voluntarily, shed light on this pivotal moment in Dutch history. It connects us. All of us. Please take some time to visit this wonderful museum.

A nice villa from 30th of 20th century. It has furnished rooms and a very good audioguide describe all the rooms. It is included in the price of design museum.
