Excellent museum with lots of paraphernalia from bombed out buildings, NSB, Nazism bombs etc. There is also are very good film which takes you back to the bombing of Rotterdam.

I visited here immediately after hearing about it from the main city museum in the centre of town. The staff were very helpful and showed me how to proceed around the museum. It isn't very big so...

A very authentic interesting museum about the local events in Dordrecht during the second world war. They show how life was for the people who endured increasingly the scarcity of groceries towards 1944 and 1945. Booklets that explained how a nutritious meal could still be prepared from tulip bulbs and other non courant plants. Ersatz coffee. How to make a stove in order to be able to cook after the gas was cut off. A bicycle to tred to energize the dynamo to power the radio set to be able to listen to Radio Oranje in England. The museum must be kept vivid!
