Create an itinerary including Lanta Old Town
Stroll along the beach, browse the souvenir shops, and eat freshly caught seafood at Lanta Old Town, an ethnically diverse area with Chinese merchants, local Thai fishing families, and an ancient Sea Gypsy community. You can catch a long-tail boat tour of the island or a mangrove tour from the waterfront, or embark upon a snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing, or kayaking trip. Many years ago, Ko Lanta's Old Town acted as an important port and commercial center for the island, providing a safe stopping place for vessels sailing between Phuket, Penang, and Singapore. Before you head to Ko Lanta, plan trip itinerary details with our user-friendly Ko Lanta day trip planning app, to make sure you see all that Ko Lanta has to offer, including Lanta Old Town.

  • A very peaceful little town with little cafes and restaurants, a pier, an old ship and a lobster statue - a symbol of Koh Lanta’s Old Town. If you stay in Koh Lanta for a couple of days and have some spare time come and visit. Have a relaxing stroll along one Main Street and buy some souvenirs. And you can also shot great photos too)
  • Quite, small market, with places to eat and even (expensive) craft beer. Nice place to pick local apparel and handcraft (don't forget to haggle!). The long pier is surrounded by green waters and you can drive up to the very end
