  • Been here already before (once some years ago in November when water levels were higher) and returned again, because it's a great place to visit nearby Khao Lak. Just be aware: - by wearing flip flops you put your health on risk, because some paths are extremely steep and might be slippery (depending on water levels and rainfall - walking uphill can be exhausting, but when it's humid, even more - currently all shops at the gate are closed, therefore bring your own water - there is a toilet... but... 😬 Pros: If you want to go on a tour on your own, enjoy nature, a bit of jungle and sit and swim under a waterfall... go there Cons: Paths were not well maintained (we can discuss now if it's good or a bad thing), if you want to get to the higher levels of the falls you have to be fit, wear proper shoes and find your way up. General: you can get there easily by (motor) bike or car. Fee for foreigners is THB200, for Thai people THB 20 (includes then free entry to another park the same day) Duration: 2-4 hours (with taking swimming & photo breaks) - we went up to level 4 (4 hours in total)
  • 5 levels to this waterfall as you progress up the trail, higher and higher. Only signs for the first 3 levels but you can see the trail continuing. The 5th level is amazing as it is very tall. It's fun to hike past level 1 cuz the trail gets narrow and is like a jungle walk as you go over vines, etc. Since rainy season, the waterfalls were in full force with lots of water! As for easy hike: it is except for two somewhat steep hills on the wide path. And path past level one starts going straight up and flattens here and there. Did not feel exhausting. Totally worth it for fun hike and to see level 5. Was a rainy hike and leeches for sure!! Even found one on the back of my husband neck! I got leech socks at Decathlon, 250 baht, that I wore with shorts. They go over the knee and are bright colored so you see the leeches. Extremely slippery on rocks even with hiking boots!!! Only paid 100 baht entrance fee per person, end of June. Bathroom by waterfall has normal flushing toilet. Was pretty clean: no flying bugs, spiders, dead insects, etc. And toilet itself was clean.
