Island Organics Thai Cooking Class, Bophut

Our family had a fabulous time with Lat making some super tasty dishes. Our 2 kids absolutely loved the experience of being able to see and pick the ingredients needed directly from the garden. Lat is an excellent teacher and was very patient with our kids(9 & 13). A great day out and highly recommended!

I had an incredible day hosted by Chef Lat and Cameron at their idyllic farm property. They took care and time to explain their organic farm and aquaponic setup, giving us tips throughout to take home for our own gardens. Chef Lat walked us through and picked produce from the garden that we used in our cooking for the day. We got to make a butterfly pea flower herbal drink, Pad Thai prawn, our own curry pastes for Tom Yum and Penang Curry, homemade coconut cream and milk from scratch, and a fresh papaya salad! Chef Lat took us through each recipe step by step and encouraged us on our progress. We ended the day by eating our meals together and sharing stories. I cannot recommend this experience enough and will definitely go back each time I visit Samui!!
