Kunsthaus Zofingen, Zofingen

A beautiful old building located near the center of the town of Zofingen. The gallery hosts various exhibitions from Mostly local Swiss artists. The building itself is spacious and occupies two floors. The upper floor is a beautiful and grand looking a ballroom which is ideal to display works of art.

The Kunsthaus Zofingen shows current art. The exhibitions are divided into four recurring vessels (drawing/painting, house/architecture, networking, bottomless), the overriding theme of the year allows the artists to enter into a dialogue. In addition to painting, drawing, photography and sculpture, installations and works from the field of new media and performances will be shown. The Kunsthaus Zofingen is geared towards the cultural understanding of the younger generation; it promotes and supports young people and does special program work for young people and adolescents. The selection of the artists is one of the most important points in the programming: a new understanding of art with videos, events and action, oriented towards the younger generation. The youngsters are brought to the exhibitions with "Culture Makes School" and served with a "Focus". There are mediation offers from kindergarten to secondary level II.
