Seealpsee, Wasserauen

A pure unaltered nature awaits you here where serenity meets calmness. Depending on the hike you choose, It is a trek of around 5 to 7 Kms from the station. There are even longer trek routs depending on time and stamina you have. You can get a trekking rout map at the station. While going up we found it quite stiff, trekking sticks can be useful here for down and up.The water is so still and crystal clear that you see the reflection of the surrounding valley. You can rent a boat here too. We hiked down through the mountain roads all the way up from Äscher which I would not recommend if you don’t have a walking stick with you. Please choose the route depending on your fitness level as we found one route quite slippery while returning to the car park. There is nice restaurant nearby and also a small farm shop selling milk and cheese. During summer months famines can also do their own bbq around the lake.

This is one of my favourite places for hiking. The view is amazing, you have forest, waterfalls, mountains, flowers, and the lake. You can hike up to Ebenalp and come down with the cable car, or the other way around. This is a must.
