Best known as the site of Sherlock Holmes and Professor Moriarty's final clash, Reichenbach Waterfall attracts fans of the Sherlock fiction series from all over the world. However, with a combined drop of 250 m (820 ft) and picturesque alpine setting, this spectacular series of waterfalls has a broad appeal. A scenic funicular ride makes the site easy to access, located just a short walk from the Reichenbachfall station. At their fullest, the waterfalls can produce a considerable spray, so be sure to wear shoes with good grip and bring a waterproof jacket. The waterfall was gorgeous and powerful even after so many days without rain. The tour guide drove us to the point where the descen along the waterfall started. We used a funicular on the way down.

Beautiful place for Sherlock Holmes fans and others. The funicular was also a fun adventure. The falls themselves are breathtaking and the footpath to the final meeting of SH & prof Moriarty quite challenging towards the end but worth it!
