While strolling through the city's Old Town, stop by Tyska Kyrkan (Old German Church) and admire the impressive architecture and collection of religious ornaments. The church is dedicated to Saint Gertrude, the protector of the guild of German merchants. The guild's headquarters was transformed into a church in the 18th century. From its 86 m (282 ft) steeple adorned with gargoyles, to the Baroque interior and large stained-glass windows, the structure is an architectural masterpiece. The church has a long history as one of Sweden's foremost centers of religious music. Today many organ concerts are organized here, and the site is famous for choir singing and melodic bells.     The building is not super impressive. But the small streets of the old town are nice. The dragon statue nearby is more interesting. This area was full of tourists from a cruise ship in the summer , nice to see some happy people in this cold city of glass buildings and gray rocks

    In this church everything is super German. They sell a great variety of sausages and you can drive as fast as you want inside the church. Everywhere is beer and Lederhosen and a lot of internationally operating companies.
