Capellans Beach, Salou

Beautiful beach but when the sea is rough it becomes very dangerous, I witnessed a horrible experience there

We stumbled upon this pleasant beach during our first day while taking a ride with the local tourist train. We loved this beach so much we haven’t spend any time at the main Platja Els Pilons beach just west of here. It’s not insanely overcrowded like the main beach and you can always find a spot. Especially pleasant during the earlier morning (before 10 am) or in the evening (after 6pm) when there are not a lot of people around. The water is blue-green and much cleaner than the main beach. You can go in the water quite far without sinking. Just stay clear of the buoy area since that area is used by the nearby kayak/para/banana tour company. If they pick-up clients with their speed boat they go pretty close to the beach and the people swimming there. There is a nearby bar where you can get your beverages, food, and also rent sunbeds and accessories. There are multiple approaches also catered to people with mobility issues.
