Children’s Museum · Coffeehouse
A contemporary museum and cultural arts center, CaixaForum Barcelona presents an array of exhibits on ancient, modern, and contemporary art inside a formerly abandoned electrical station encased in oxidized cast iron. The permanent exhibit here explains the history and refurbishment of the museum, while the rotating exhibits--usually consisting of avant-garde and contemporary art--display painting, photography, video installations, and interactive works. Head up to the roof of the building for views of the neighboring Museum of Catalan Art. Make CaixaForum Barcelona part of your personalized Barcelona itinerary using our Barcelona road trip app.
