Gukje Market, Busan

3.5
#3 of 38 in Shopping in Busan
Gukje Market maintains traditional marketplace atmosphere, owing to its history as a place where refugees of the Korean War earned a living selling basic goods. Make your way through the alleyways, observing how locals shop and browsing the large array of items, both new and used, on offer. Perhaps the biggest draw for foreigners, though, remains the many food stalls and restaurants for sampling Korean fare. Plan your Gukje Market visit and explore what else you can see and do in Busan using our Busan trip itinerary planner.

  • We love the street food here, its taste so authentic and full with flavour. For price wise, I personally think Gukje Market is cheaper for you to grab on the souvenir and food compare to others.  more »

  • The street food is good but we actually didn’t know what we ate. The texture and taste are good. The texture of one dish is like omelette in a clear soup and the other like sausage-looking squid balls haha
  • This is a Familiar and Famous Touristic Spot. Gukje Market means International or Foreigners Market. The Movie Gukje Shijang made it Famous. Because of Privacy I ciuld not take pics of shops lined with people waiting to eat or snack food. Most of them are foreigners or from Other Korean Cities.
